Urban is an experienced higher education leader, educator and researcher who has extensive experience as a course and program developer. In addition, she develops new nursing and allied health programs using a variety of platforms to meet current practice and accreditation requirements. She helps develop academic-business partnerships and supports program marketing and student recruitment efforts. Lisa Urban joined Southern New Hampshire University in 2018. Moriarty-Litz received her EdD in Education and Leadership with a specialization in Nursing from Rivier University, MA in Nursing Administration from the University of New Hampshire and BSN from Saint Anselm College. Her experience allows her to speak as an expert about nursing education, leadership and Parkinson’s disease. Safra Visiting Nurse Faculty Program at the Parkinson’s Foundation and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. Her areas of research interest are professional identity and stress in pre-licensure nursing students. Throughout her career, Moriarty-Litz has worked in both clinical practice and nursing education settings, teaching non-traditional students throughout several levels of academic preparation. Her work has produced high-quality nursing programs, accreditation for undergraduate and graduate nursing programs, and the establishment of the nursing continuing professional development team. Since then, she’s held progressive roles in nursing academic leadership, continually collaborating with stakeholders across teams to create greater opportunities for nursing education.
